Flexibility is paramount on a cross country trek. With the change of plans, having to pick up two new truck batteries, we decided to explore the small College town of Alpine, Texas. We set out to find “the Desk.” Our cartographer skills were less than stellar. We ended up hiking three peaks versus one. But persistence paid off.
