National Park: 21:63

National Park: 21:63

Saguaro National Park * Tucson, AZ * 01.15.23 *

Trips like this remind me to stop being complacent. Bill and I have spent ample time in the desert. This was thought of as a stop to “check it off the list.” Wow, were we wrong. This park is magical.

Never have I seen the giant Saguaro cactus so prolific nor well… giant! I hope these pictures do it justice. The hiking was excellent and the rewards sublime.

The park is split into two by Tucson, AZ. With over 91,000 acres protected. I am grateful these majestic beauties will be preserved and sure they will out survive us all. If you visit, make sure to catch some sunsets.

For RVers we loved the Gilbert Ray Campground which is a bargain at $20 a night with electric (no sewer or water on site).
