Down in the belly of New Mexico we explored this ghoulish subterranean universe. The place is massive including a large limestone chamber, simply named the Big Room. The Big Room is almost 4,000 feet long, 625 feet wide, and 255 feet high at its highest point. The Big Room is the largest chamber in North America. Next time we hope to see the Brazilian Bats (that go to Mexico for the winter… who could blame them) and delve into the lower chamber (reservations required).
