Cliche yes… but days like this I know we are living our Best Life. It takes planning but pulled off a bucket list item of flying in a seaplane. Originally, I had a misguided thought that we would kayak to Isle Royale. Apparently, I need to retake high school geography class as it was a “take your breath away” 45 min. seaplane ride to get to the island. Who knew the northern great lakes look like the Caribbean? I sure didn’t. Once there, lots of hiking, exploring, and soaking in the views. Ran into our first moose encounter on a small trail. That got our adrenilian pumping. Stayed at Rock Lodge with a Superior view of the lake. Feeling very grateful and blessed. Of the 63 big parks, this one is on the higher end of forethought and planning but so worth it!
